The balcony lanai of your oceanview condo is less than 50 feet from the water's edge and the reefs where turtles feed and surfers ply their skill. The island of Molokai is less that seven miles across the channel where dolphins (all year) and whales (December through April) are often spotted. The Turtles Are What Sets Our Maui Oceanview Condo Apart From Every Other Vacation Resort
We are fortunate to have a coral reef that stretches the length of the vacation resort property. This reef is a favorite feeding area of Maui's Green Turtles and you can watch them bobbing in the surf from the resort's shore. At times the turtles will "beach" themselves to sunbathe on flat ledges. But you have to look carefully to see the turtles because their gray color causes them to blend in with the rocks. If you spot one, you can climb down to get a closer look and take pictures. However, please stay at least 10 feet away because they are one of Maui's protected species.

S-Turns Pohaku Park is on the north side of the vacation resort property and is a popular surfing spot with Maui's locals. When Maui's surf is up, you are guaranteed a spectacular show as surfers and boogie boarders test their skill with the waves. At other times, Maui's kite surfers and wind surfers keep you entertained. With so much to see, it would be easy to miss Maui's other attractions. If instead of being a spectator you choose to surf yourself, access to the beach is at the north end of the vacation resort where there is a shower spigot to wash off the salt and sand at the end of the day. 
The Ritual at Sunset
Regardless of where they are or what they are doing, as the sun goes down, Maui's locals and vactioners alike stop to pay homage. In the distance you will hear the conch shell as it is blown to signal the end of another day. The tiki torches are lit and you smell their smokey flames. You anticipate nature's radiant painting of the skies, watch the masterpiece unfold and, later, dissolve as evening descends and the brilliance fades to gray. Watch the painted skies from your oceanview balcony lanai or get a front row seat from the vacation resort's seaside chaise lounge chairs. Or better yet, watch from the resort's oceanfront jacuzzi. Regardless of where you choose, make sure to have your camera ready to capture the breathtaking, picture-postcard perfect vistas as a reminder of your wonderful vacation.
